Don’t let spring and summer be the only time of year that you spend time using your outdoor spaces. So often we tend to let those areas go unused and abandoned in the fall and winter, but there are so many ways to make your patio space warm and cozy, which allows you to spend time outside with your family and friends on cooler days and nights.
The easiest way to make your patio space more warm and cozy is to switch out your outdoor summer pillows to ones with rich fall colors. This helps to bring the colors of the season to your area and create a cozy place to sit on a long cool night.
Go ahead and add a throw blanket to your outdoor sitting area to add warmth and a feeling of comfort to your patio space. This makes it more relaxing and allows you to just grab something to keep you warm on a crisp night.
We all love to start using our outdoor firepits or fireplaces once the nights get cooler. I love to use old boxes, crates, metal buckets or baskets to place firewood in and set in my patio space. This is also a great time to go ahead and get your firepit or fireplace cleaned out and ready to use the first cold night. If you do not have space for one or don’t want the mess with getting wood and cleaning one out, try using an outdoor heater. They now come in so many sizes and shapes which makes it easy to find the perfect one for your outdoor space.
